Overview
Empowering the IPF Patient Through Shared Decision Making, Multidisciplinary Care, and Treatment Awareness
IPF Regional Meeting for Clinicians
Registration is closed for this activity.
Join us for an interactive, complimentary, CME meeting designed to enhance your knowledge of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Meeting highlights include discussion of guidelines for IPF diagnosis, pharmacotherapies/nonpharmacologic approaches to treat IPF, and strategies to encourage shared decision making. Our expert faculty panel will include national and regional clinicians and a patient advocate. An opportunity to learn alongside IPF patients/caregivers will also be integrated.
This live activity will review new and emerging science in the field of IPF. A multidisciplinary panel will discuss the differential diagnosis of IPF, available therapeutic agents, supportive care, and tools to foster shared decision-making with patients.

This CME activity is intended for members of the care center network and surrounding regional clinicians including pulmonologists, radiologists, pathologists, respiratory nurses, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians interested in treatment advances for patients with IPF. Furthermore, a patient education component will be incorporated for patients and caregivers dealing with IPF.
• Outline needs and concerns of IPF patients over the disease course
• Discuss guideline recommendations for differentiating IPF from other interstitial lung diseases to ensure a definitive diagnosis
• Interpret the efficacy and safety data for pharmacotherapies used to treat IPF
• Formulate comprehensive management plans, including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic approaches and support strategies
• Engage patients and their families in shared decision making for the management of IPF
• Describe the benefits and roles of multidisciplinary team over the course of IPF
